Silent Film Tickets & Information
Tickets are £8 and £5 for concessions (NUS card students, pensioners and children under 16). They are available on the church door – please arrive early to avoid disappointment!
After the film screening, the crypt bar will be open from 9.30pm with the same band from the film playing jazz / swing music from 10pm ’till late. Tickets will be available on the crypt door but if you’d like to come to both the film and the crypt, tickets are £12 & £9 and are available at wegottickets by clicking HERE.
Is the film suitable for children?
The film is rated PG – it may be unsuitable for young children. It is a ‘serious’ film and has mild adult themes and covers some serious issues of the day. It also contains mild violence.
How will the film be screened?
St Giles’ is working with Camberwell Free Film Festival who will build a big screen in church to project the film. The film itself has been digitally restored by the BFI and St Giles’ has a license to screen it for one night only.
What is the running time?
The film has a running time of 107 minutes – there will be an interval half way through.
What shall I wear?
It’s Halloween night so fancy dress is very welcome! The film is set in 1920’s London so feel free to dress in period costume too – but normal dress is fine.
