Greenwich Mean Time Quartet takes you on a short trip across some familiar and lesser-known American musical territory.
Join us on Wednesday 25th May at 7.30pm for music encompassing jazz, classical and American popular styles, often referred to as ‘Americana’. The evening will feature works by George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein and Jay Anthony Gach.
Since forming in February 2015 in South East London, the Greenwich Mean Time Quartet has been performing regularly at concerts and events in London and across the country. With diverse performing experience between them, GMTQ are enthusiastic about promoting the saxophone quartet as a unique ensemble, capable of performances in a wide range of musical styles. Proud of its versatility, the group’s repertoire ranges from jazz through to classical transcriptions as well as works from the saxophone quartet core repertoire.
