December is a busy month for music-making at St Giles’ and as well as our usual Christmas services, we’re very pleased to be hosting two weddings and a Christmas Concert by Lyndhurst Primary School. We’ve also got a big event open to all on Saturday 17th December from 7pm – Christmas Organoke!
Our summer Organoke was so popular we felt we had to bring back a special festive version – so along with host Ida Barr, the organ will be playing all your favourite pop classics! Christmas jumpers are heartily encouraged and there will be a fully licensed bar open throughout the proceedings! Tickets are available here or you can buy them in person from Pigeon Hole, Art Deli, or the SE5 Forum market stall on Saturday and Sundays at Camberwell Green. Tickets are £12.
The very next day, St Giles’ choir will be singing Carols by Candlelight on Sunday 18th December at 6pm. There will be traditional carols for everyone to sing as well as some choir carols with readings. St Giles’ will be lit by candlelight and it’s a service not to be missed.
Finally on Christmas Eve, we have our Crib Service at 3pm, Carols on the Merry Organ at 6pm and Midnight Mass at 12 Midnight and you find about them all here. Please do pop in to St Giles’ this Christmas – you are very welcome.
