Thank you to everyone who came along to our fantastic 6-choir event ‘Songs in Spring’. Featuring Camberwell Community Choir, The Kenningtones, The Nightingales, Oasis South Bank Academy Choir, Kennington Community Choir and Oasis Waterloo Community Choir, it was a night to remember!
There were some fantastic performances and a really great mix of music and styles. The choirs enjoyed meeting one another over a cup of tea or a glass of wine and the audience had their own chance to have a sing at the end. Who would have thought ‘Wotcher on the Old Kent Road’ with the organ would ever work?!
The Friends of St Giles’ did a fantastic job of watering everyone with teas, coffee and wine – there were a lot of thirsty singers! And Alec and his team of bell ringers gave a proper Camberwell welcome to everyone from the bell tower. We hope to do it all over again soon!
